Mountain biking, hiking, side-by-sides, horseback riding, cycling, – we have a trail for you and whatever you like to do. There are plenty of lakes – including crystal clear mine pits – to explore, and we’re approximately an hour away from destination fishing Lake Vermilion and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
This region is home to the Award Winning Redhead Mountain Bike Park, world class golf, mountain biking and alpine and Nordic skiing at Giant’s Ridge Recreation Area, the largest off-highway vehicle recreation area in the state, miles of cross country trails, and the Mesabi Trail, a 130-mile paved trail. In fact, there are so many ways to interact with the outdoors here, you may have trouble choosing what to do first.
From golf to skiing, curling to karate, there’s a seasonal activity with a club or team that would love to have you join. If you like to be active, or want to be, the Iron Range is the place for you.
